There are like for so many of us, many movies in many genres from Classic, Comedy, Thriller, Action, Chick Flick, Art House, Sci Fi the list goes on, that I watch. I don't favour a particular era or genre I just love so many. To mention just a few that I classically love such as 'Amelie', Lost In Translation', 'A Very Long Engagement', 'Stars Wars trilogy', 'Lord of the Rings' series, 'Kill Bill' series, 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' (the 1st one) and that's a small portion.... anything by 'Woody Allen' and....so many teen flick movies that resonate from childhood through to now 'Sixteen Candles', 'The Breakfast Club' and more arthouse movies 'The Cook the Thief, His wife Her Lover' the lists are endless and too many to mention...so here's the one I could say made a huge impact on me as a teenager and it is an Australian Movie that I occasionally go back to and really enjoy.
A movie with Impact: 'Gallipoli', I saw this movie when I was in Year 9 and the debate was on as to who everyone thought was cuter.... Mel Gibson or Mark Lee... (I also think it was a depending on your taste of gentle blond guy v's brunette larrikin) The obvious resonating moment in the movie was the final scene and it was so powerful, I can still hear the weeping of teenage girls in the cinema and the momentous shock that scene had on me....and of course the following lines in the scene with the character named Archie (Mark Lee) and his Uncle:
Jack: What are your legs?
Archy Hamilton: Springs. Steel springs.
Jack: What are they going to do?
Archy Hamilton: Hurl me down the track.
Jack: How fast can you run?
Archy Hamilton: As fast as a leopard.
Jack: How fast are you going to run?
Thank you to Hokey for this weeks "This is..." theme and to Angela for continuing this fun meme.

Gallipoli is a must see aussie flick. I think all high school kids should be forced to watch it.
Great choice... an incredible movie that still gives me goosebumps and fills my eyes with tears.
Mel Gibson for me please - he was seriously cute when he was young. Incredibly poignant movie too - and way too sad. Good choice.
I'd totally forgotten about "The cook, the thief...", I love that movie. I'w with you on all of your choices, except for the Woody Allen ones, I've just never warmed to his work.
