"This is... my perfect dinner party guest list"

This weeks theme as suggested by 'Lily and Agathe' for the "This is..." meme by Angela definitely stretched the imagination.

There are so many people I would like to invite and as It's my dinner party...My partner has no say in the guests as he would chose a completely different set...however I don't feel he would complain about the following six dinner party guests:

In no particular order of preference,

My first guest
would be author Isabel Allende

Her incredible imagination intertwined with her creativity and writing skills, infused with her incredible personal stories of her own life and that of her family would make her a compelling and interesting dinner guest.

This one will surprise you..

2nd guest...Mike Patton ...yes, I include him as I have seen him perform in many of his bands - Faith No More, Mr Bungle , Peeping Tom and the John Zorn cobra to name but a few... My partner is a huge follower of his music...besides having seen him perform, read interviews and seen enough footage to think he would be a very interesting dinner guest with his take on music and especially modern pop culture as well!

Third guest - Frank Gehry... one of the world's most innovative and living Architects in my humble opinion. What more can I say.. read the link to find out more....

Fourth guest - Woody Allen..I have always wanted to meet him and a huge fan of his work and would be an interesting personality to throw into this mix...

Fifth Guest - To even out the score.. Cate Blanchett... I have seen her interviewed a couple of times and she comes across as interesting, engaging and having a wonderful sense of humour. I would certainly feel she would be very comfortable in this eclectic guest list of artists....

Finally...my

Sixth guest - To keep a balance in this mix I would throw in another woman Annie Lennox whose music I haven't listen too in a while... yet her work has always resonated with me... her soulful voice, lyrical, enticing, sexy..she too seems to exude these qualities and would be a fascinating addition to this mix....

So on the food situation..definitely a smorgasbord of Mediterranean style food..beautiful breads cheeses dips, olives, pates, seafood and salads..loads of wine and definitely snifters of the finest cognac for afterwards..served of course with delicate morsels of chocolate coffee and more... a decadent night.....

Now back to reality!

Great group...I'm surprised Woodly Allen hasn't made more lists. I wonder if he is the same in person as his film persona?!?
