Hi! thanks for the birthday wishes!
No it doesn't feel right saying 'I am 40!', infact quite wrong! but it was what made me decide to do the face demons thing and writing it down really helped! And I managed to celebrate for about a week in a low-key kinda way - with 3 choc birthday cakes!!Looks like you had a great time celebrating! and your kids sooo cute! take care x

Wow - your friend's son's cake looks fantastic. Actually, my son saw it and pronounced it 'really cool' - and he is a train-mad 3.5yr old. So he would know :P

Sounds like a lovely (except for the gastro part) Easter weekend!

You know that cake was made by the child's father too. he is a mad keen baker and is grreat with cakes and quiches amongst many of his skills. he actually designed the cake himself, with a long base and a chocolate scroll top..ingenious...very inspiring too and yummy....
