Inhale//Exhale ... the process is beginning.....
For years, I have dreamed of starting my own design company ever since I made the decision at 15 years old to become an Interior designer.
Well as of today that dream is starting to materialise.
I have been agonising over several months now as to why things weren't working for me at my current job. I could go into great detail, but I fear retribution as it wouldn't be too hard to work out where I am currently working if your in Melbiourne and revealing the culture of a small business needs to be kept between the individuals.
However what I can reveal, is like most creative people, we like to be identified by our own talents, style of design etc.
However even though this has been acknowledged at where I work, which is a rarity in itself,
I am still designing someone else's ideal ...
Personally, I take a very open approach in my design and like to be challenged by all facets of design/styles and briefs. For now after I have been working on the Historical/Period look for over two years with nothing but a few small commissions (for want of a better word) for modern work, I feel that twitch to really branch out...
It's starting, I have researched the name I have been toying with for a while...I have researched the domain name, I will start a business plan as of Monday 14th April...
As I am indulging in a weekend away with girlfriends in Daylesford this weekend to clear the mind, body and spirit and when I can, I will reveal more ...baby steps to a Fresh start ...and it looks like it can happen....
