Blogtoberfest Day 17: Rest day
Sometimes being busy can catch up with you. As currently in my life I juggle the demands of two small children, working part-time and meeting the various commitments of playgroups, a committee and of course in between catching up with various friends & family...not unusual, but I am pregnant and at 18 weeks it's starting to take it's toll.
My rude awakening was going to bed with period like pain and a baby that was tumbling inside me like a performer in Circus OZ. I must admit I was a litted unsure that this was good thing. In the morning I was slightly refreshed from a heavy sleep and about to head off to work. Again the period pain, time to call the Obstetrician, funny how I hesitated as if I shouldn't be disturbing him on a Saturday!! To cut along story short...it was an easy answer for Dennis (My lovely Ob) He explained that the baby moving was very good sign, and I have probably been moving alot (I have had a very busy week!) and so this can cause contraction like feelings, the upside it's not anything majorly serious except I require rest and make sure I don't do too much over the weekend...
A relief and sound advice (common sense), so I did. I slept during the day for 3 hours, was woken up early afternoon and had a bbq dinner, where I didn't lift a finger. I went to bed at 9pm and read for an hour...and expect to do more of the same Sunday...
