"This is....

This is a borrowed photo, I surfed the net for a picture that slightly resembled my first ever pet, a beautiful Cocker Spaniel that my parents named 'Snoopy'... I was in the womb at the time and didn't have a say in the name!

Snoopy was there to greet me when I came home and from day one slept under my bassinet then cot. He played with me and subsequent sisters and unfortunately passed away when I was 14. We do have quite a few photo's but they are all at my parent's home and the one photo I do have I couldn't show as I don't own a scanner. We also had many other pets mainly cats although there were ventures into mice, chickens, rabbits and of course fish.

Currently we do not have a pet but would dearly love to and soon. My partner loves dogs but his preferred breed which is what he grew up with, are Rottweilers and Dobermans...never a breed I was particularly fond of but have grown to appreciate.... We hope to have pets one day but for the moment they are lovely memories and the few friends who do have pets, we are for the moment able to indulge a run, cuddle or play.

"Thank you" 'Two Peas in a Pod' for a lovely idea for this weeks "This is.." meme by 'Three Buttons'. I have certainly enjoyed the reminiscing.

Lovely color on that cocker. I had a black one for a time as a child. Actually, he seemed more to be my father's dog and I have no idea where he went? my cousins?

That's so sweet that he slept under your bassinet and cot. It's so sad when they pass though. My family had an adorable cocker spaniel, they're so cute.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful story about Snoopy. Dogs are really girls best friend. Love that he came to greet you when you got home. Good luck with selecting a new pet when the time is right. Thanks for sharing this week!!

Snoopy sounds like the perfect family pet. You must have so many fond memories of him.

I hope your next pet is just special.
